Yes, CSK is a profit making company. The company clocked a total revenue of Rs. 253 crore in FY21, while EBITDA stood at Rs. 67 crore and PAT was Rs. 40 crore. However, the net profit of the company has declined. There are multiple reasons behind the decline in net profit, such as poor performance of the franchise, COVID-19, reduction in income from grant of central rights from the BCCI and the involvement of key officials in betting and spot fixing. But in the future, it is expected that the growth will increase as the brand value of IPL goes up. Despite this, CSK is one of the fastest growing franchises in the IPL and owns a unicorn status. Now CSK has bought one team in the South AfricaAfrican Premier league which is similar to IPL. So, this will also add revenue from next year onwards.
